If you could travel back in time and see an ancient civilization, which one would you pick?

Ancient Greece For the win. As long as I could also speak Ancient Greek. Meeting the old philosophers and seeing their thought process would be fun

Ancient China is so interesting they were the top dogs in terms of ancient civilizations and their dynasties rivaled the Roman Empire during the heights of its empire. As long as I know how to speak ancient Chinese and get to meet legendary philosophers like Confucius that would be great. A big thing that might change my mind however is the gruesome and warlike history during the Ancient Chinese times of warring states.

I'm going with ancient Egypt, because I want to know how they built the pyramids!

But it's so close to going to Roman Empire days, too.

Totally the roman empire but I'd be down to see Carthage during the Punic wars and the Mongolian empire at the peak of their power with khan.

I put ancient Greece, but honestly I would be interested in any of those listed.  And although they technically aren’t ancient civilizations, I would love to check out the Vikings, the Mongols, and feudal Japan during the samurai era... although Oda Nobunaga would probably have me beheaded.

I feel like this is a romanticized question. Because the living conditions were horrible everywhere. For fun's sake though I'm going to say Ancient Peru because I want to see how the Nazca lines were made.
