A high-school celebration dance for the last year in high-school.
I not only went to my high-school I was a member of the prom team to help shape our prom.
Prom isn't a part of our school culture in Germany. The only thing that is somewhat like a prom is the celebration at the end of 12th grade that is organized in most schools for the students that graduate AND their families (rather than just students alone). But even that is not like something where you bring a date or anything along those lines.
