Pancakes are amazing. Our panckaes around here tend to be buttermilk panckaes, which look like this stock photo from Google:

One great way to use them is to fry them in the same pan that you cooked bacon in ... and then eat with bacon  

And yes @Angevinis right --> golden syrup.
