Definitely a cat though without any doubt - the only pet that can just do its own thing and isn't caged. Dog is definitely second and would be first if it could leave on its own

Obviously a cat, I can be an asshole and sleep all day. Much like I do now but being a cat makes it my destiny.

Parrot. Can talk somewhat and can - depending on the kind - turn 60-90 years old.
