I havent been struck by lightning, but I did have a laptop on my lap when lightning struck near to me.  It fried the laptop and shocked my lap.

I don’t like the sound of thunder because it scares my dogs.

Our house was hit by ball lightning when I was young, went right through my bedroom, blew every outlet off the walls.  Hell of a thing to wake up to.  While it didn't strike me directly, I can still remember the feeling in the air on my skin, and I was struck by several shards of wall outlets. That's close enough in my book.  Was a hell of a clean up cause it trashed *all* the wiring (house was over a hundred years old).
