It depends on the size tbh.  But for the most, I am scared of them either because they look poisonous or they are biggish.

Yep. It's gotten slightly better over the years in the sense that when I have like one of those regular thin spiders you sometimes have in your house are in one of the corners of my room that's not close too my bed, I can ignore it. That wasn't possible when I was a child. But still very afraid.

You get use to them when you live in a country like Australia, I've gotten a few funnel webs, white tails, red backs or wolf spiders from time to time, but we mostly get huntsmen's (6-8 inch leg span is the avg) who wander in during hot or wet days.
