Use the chair, push him into it, and then you have 8+ hours to walk away because he will either fall asleep or take the same amount of time just trying to stand up again.

No, there's a reference image for an idea of the old man style that is launching a suprise attack. Also, because The Creepy Lurker has lurked all through the ages, he has a distinct strategic and tactical advantage after eons of examining experts in all forms of scenarios and settings, and your odds of loss are almost entirely certain.

Yeah, I wanted to try and do a little self-deprecating bit here and say the old man had a shot, but I'm absolutely giving that geezer the business.

It would totally be a fair fight.  It'd be like fighting myself.  Keyboards are light and can be swung easily.  The others have cords or are heavy.
