I didn't even know that there were houserules for this, lol. We've always played that you can always build anywhere as long as it's your turn and you own the set. Always make sure to build 4 houses everywhere you can so no one else can build houses/hotels!

Anywhere you own the entire color on your turn.  You have to spread them out though.  So if you buy 3 houses on 1 color, you have to put 1 on each property.

you have to have the thre properties from the smae colur and then you can start building houses, but you cant go on one prpperty a hotel and on another nothing , you have to build them up at kind of the same time if you want two houses you gottamake one on every property and so on

I don’t think I’ve even played where it has to be your turn, just not in the middle of someone’s roll/move.

Last session I played was on pc. Cant remember the last time with a real board.

Capitalism and open markets....if it’s my turn I get to be in charge and build on anything I OWN as long as I own all the color set....Anything to the contrary is commie nonsense.

I'd also like to say that I'm an addict where this game is concerned. I've played it so much I have a strategy that's become instinct and my use of it makes my friends call me ruthless and they don't play with me anymore....
